How HGC works
HGC Since 2019
General Rules
- All Membership must be approved by HGC board.
- Follow course rules, no gimmie or mulligans
- Report scores the same day though the score card portal.
- Play round with another member of HGC, no exceptions.
- No practice rounds.
- All players will be given a handicap by HGC and it will be modified each week
Handicap Calulation
Handicaps will be adjusted weekly by HGC.
We will be following the rules for the new World Handicapping System.
Example of how it works
- Enter chosen weekly games
- Schedule round with another member and golf course
- Play round
- Record score in app
- Wait for all players to play and see if your in the money this week.
Point system, leaderboard and payouts
- Each week players will be given 5pts
- The top three net and gross winners will be given
- 1st-50 points
- 2nd-40 points
- 3rd-30 points
- Points are accumulated during the season and used for tournament seeding and year end payout.
- Each week skins will be paid. If no skins are awarded money is pushed to the next week
- the top 20% of net and gross game will be paid.
Tournments and The Highland Cup
- Seeding is based on points from weekly play
- We will hold 3 total tournaments. A preseason, mid season and The Highland Cup.
- For the mid season golfers must have at least 5 rounds played and a HGC assigned handicap
- For the Highland Cup at least 10 rounds must have been played to qualify.
- The Highland Cup will be match play, depending on quantity pairings will be 2-4 players with one person advancing. Rounds will be 18 holes. We will follow traditional scoring with 1pt per hole for the winner and .5 per hole for tie. At the end of the round the highest pt total advances.
The APP
HGC uses the EZ League Golf system. Through this app you will record your weekly scores, pay dues, see current handicap, leader board, and stats
